Our Company
At Eco-Safe Septic, LLC we are always striving to find newer and more efficient ways to protect the environment. So, to keep up with industry changes, we go back to school every year. Paul attended the University of Arizona at Phoenix to attain his septic inspector’s license. Arizona was the only state mandating licensing, but some counties in Colorado are now requiring licensed inspections of septic systems and we needed to be prepared.
We also attend certification schools, sponsored by product manufactures verifying that we are trained in their products and get Continuing Education Units to keep our specialized licenses current. Any given year we may attend 15 – 50 hours of classroom training.
The engineers we use on our team have several years of experience in the wastewater field, as well as civil design and structural engineering. They are licensed in Colorado and New Mexico.
From waste loads of 500 gallons per day to over 200,000 gallons per day, our “Team” can build a system for you.
Doug Sharp
Managing Partner
*CIOWTS-A
Doug became interested in wastewater almost 25 years ago when he saw an advanced wastewater treatment system, a Cromaglass unit, on display at the National Home Builders Show. Prompted by an awareness of the need for water conservation and water table protection in our area he looked for, and more than 20 years later found, the Cromaglass brochure. Doug’s lifetime work in the fields of management, building and energy conservation come together to benefit Eco Safe.
John Sharp
Licensed Installer
John has grown up with an interest in the environment. For several years he has helped to monitor the health of the San Juan River through the Colorado River Watch program. He is also interested in our business and became a licensed septic installer at the age of 16. John begins college in the fall of 2009 and will be majoring in environmental sciences with the goal of becoming a waste water engineer. In the summer he works in the field as a member of the installation team.

Bud obtained a BS in Construction technology and an AS in Land Surveying Technology from Louisiana Tech. He has been a licensed Civil Engineer for 20 years and has been designing advanced waste water treatment systems in Pagosa Springs for over nine years. When we brought new technology to the region, Bud was the logical first person to contact. Since he is a licensed septic installer as well as an engineer, he brings a wealth of experience and an understanding of both sides of our jobs, design and installation.
